The story of Francisco and the work he has done among the Wichi people has been legendary in the Every Home for Christ family for years. In the fall of 2018 I had the opportunity to travel to the north reaches of Argentina and capture his story. My colleague Josiah and I spent 4 days recording interviews, b-roll, and traveling around the countryside to different Wichi villages.
Documentaries can tend to focus on interviews and narrator, so I really wanted to capture daily life moments among the Wichis. Due to time and rain (the first all year), we only had one day of good sunshine—which was the day we got Francisco laying out his literature and visited other villages.
In the end, I feel like we were able to showcase how God has used Francisco to impact his people group, and how God is changing lives even in the dry bush of Argentina.
